The Moonjube Tarot Deck has a visionary seventy-eight cards steeped in Aquarian futurism, ornamented with astrological and elemental symbolism. With dreamlike collage art by Donna Outtrim (Moonjube) and poetic impressions by writer Shan Jago, this deck is a mystical, magical journey to the beating heart of the future.
A note from the creator:
For the past five years, I have been passionately immersed in the creation of my debut tarot deck, Moonjube Tarot—an endeavour born from my artistic journey and fascination with tarot’s rich artwork, symbolism, and the mystique each card embodies. My vision was to craft a deck that I not only wanted to use, but that also paid homage to the timeless elegance of the Rider-Waite-Smith illustrations, while infusing it with a vibrant and whimsical spirit. As I created this unique collection, I felt a profound shift in consciousness, transitioning from the Age of Pisces into the Age of Aquarius—an era marked by collective awareness, harmony with nature, and innovative creativity. Moonjube Tarot seeks to represent an Aquarian utopia, featuring diverse characters and lush landscapes, all while harmonizing masculine and feminine energies. Infused with astrological elements, where each suit represents an element and the Ace cards highlight the signs, the deck’s intentional colour palette echoes the essence of each suit. Drawing inspiration from vintage photographs dating back to the 1700s-1900s, I have restored and colourized these images to breathe new life into history, crafting a fresh narrative. This labour of love has been further enriched through collaboration with my partner, Shannon, who has beautifully articulated the accompanying poetic impressions in the booklet, making Moonjube Tarot not just a deck, but a heartfelt homage to creativity, unity, and the magic of existence.
